Hi, I'm Yorick. I got my name in honour of my breed when I joined my new family. I'm 8 years old, and we're from Kherson.

It all started on the birthday of my human daughter. They gave me a present to her. I was a black and fluffy ball of fur.

When the war began, and we were under occupation, I experienced and endured fear with them. It was scary. We had to leave the city, spending three days in a field on a bus. I didn't eat anything for four days.

The journey to our new home in Ireland was long, but everything changed for the better. I feel great here. My nutrition has improved, and I'm beginning to look good. While all dogs may seem alike, and I adore my fellow animals, deep down, I know I'm the most cherished and beautiful in my human eyes, holding a special place in their
hearts. I genuinely believe I'm content and thriving in this new place.

I know I am lucky, my family saved me and I will be forever grateful to them for this. They are my forever family and I am forever theirs

Love Yorick
