Paws from Ukraine fundraising calendar has been created by students from the Entrepreneurship Course at Coláiste Dhúlagh, College of Further Education. This calendar is a curated selection of photographs showing the inspiring stories of some of the 600 Ukrainian families and their much-loved dogs, many of whom risked their own lives to escape the ravages of war in Ukraine and find refuge in Ireland. The photographs reflect the incredible and unique bond that exists between families and their canine companions and is a testament to the resilience strength and courage it has taken them to overcome adversity. Your support will help raise much-needed funds for the Blue Cross Mobile veterinary clinics that provide essential veterinary services to thousands of pets every year.

My name is Jordan, and I am a Rottweiler. People, upon seeing me, feel fear, but my heart is no smaller than my strong paws.

My story began in Mariupol, where I was chosen as a guardian and best friend. I served as the protector of my owner's warehouse and often spent time in her office.

There was also a period of significant trial in my life - a hundred days in an occupied city. My owner's heart pounded just as strongly as mine. Together, we endured the cold, hunger, and the fear of daily bombings.

I feel guilty for not being able to protect the warehouse; it was looted, and all the machinery and equipment were destroyed. However, when the opportunity arose, we left the ravaged city and moved to Ireland.

I possess no special skills or talents that distinguish me from others. I am simply here to be someone who is always by your side. And I am happy. My owner always protects me as much as I protect her. Every day we spend together is a reminder that true strength lies in love and faith in each other ❤️
